đĄAbout the role
As a Finance Intern at Picnic, you will work alongside the operational team(s) within Finance Operations to support day-to-day activities and ensure processes run smoothly. A key part of your role will involve maintaining and updating master data files, ensuring their accuracy and preparing them for the next phase of development. Youâll also assist with tasks such as data validation and reporting, while gaining hands-on experience with financial systems. Throughout the internship, youâll have the opportunity to contribute ideas for improving processes and learn about finance operations in an international environment.
đŻTricks of the trade
You will be joining the day-to-day business of the finance team. This means working on several projects and ad hoc activities but, you will also be responsible for your own recurring tasks.
Some tasks that you could be working on during your internship:
- Maintaining and updating master data files
- Updating supplier and customer data in Workday
- Ensuring data accuracy and preparing files for the next phase of development
- Assisting with data validation and reconciliations to support cash management process
- Booking & correcting invoices and getting to know the accounting streams at Picnic
- Identifying and driving process improvements

- You are currently enrolled in an applied science study (HBO) in the financial field
- Youâre detail-oriented and take responsibility for your work
- You communicate clearly and arenât afraid to speak up when you spot something that could be better
- You are fluent in both verbal and written English and Dutch
- You are available for at least 4-6 months
