Background
The purpose of the COO Tech domain is to: Elevate transparency and control over which IT products and services are delivered and consumed throughout ING in a standardized manner, leading to faster, more cost-efficient, and increased usage of our growing technology platform.
The top structure of COO Tech consists of four subdepartments, with several teams operating under their leadership: 1) CTO Development & Support, 2) Change & Transformation, 3) Product & Service
Management and 4) Reporting & Insights (CDO).
You report hierarchically into the Lead Reporting & Insights (CDO )
Key Responsibilities
The Lead Product management COO Tech is responsible for product management of several COO Tech tools. This includes on one hand controlling the backlog, setting priorities, managing the budget, and allocating respective engineers. On the other hand, it includes the development and driving of a long-term view on the products and how they can support the process models that are pursued. Longer term development and implementation of new releases often will necessitate cooperation with the user organizations.
Alignment with stakeholders is key: Understand the processes that the tools support in the customer context, being a conversion partner for Sr Management and process owners and driving predicable delivery schedules in alignment with the user organizations.
The team owns product management for the following tools:
- ServiceNow PPM
- Time writing
- Azure Boards
- MyICS
- The new ServiceNow CSDM modules, which focus on Portfolio Management, Digital Product Management, Service Management, and Intra-company Sourcing.
The delivery teams for the tools are hierarchically working in a larger tech domain and report functionally to the product owners in this team. As a lead are responsible for building team capabilities, fostering growth and development, attracting and retaining top talent, and driving career advancement within the international network.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 10 years' relevant senior-level professional experience required
- Deep understanding of the Tech landscape and product management
- Working experience abroad is a plus

- Strong stakeholder management skills: a naturally collaborative person, who listens and invests in others to achieve common goals and at the same time pushes, where needed, to achieve results
- Strong product management skills
- Organizationally sensitive with the ability to build trust with senior leadership
- Strong analytical capabilities, quantitative insights and problem-solving skills
- Excellent level of English, communication, and presentation skills
Education:
- Master's degree and relevant certifications
