THE ROLE
As the Workspace & TAM (Technical Application Management) Specialist at Damen Naval, you ensure the smooth operations of workspaces and technical applications. You also provide support to different departments and contribute to the seamless execution of Damen Naval’s operations. You will be working as a member of the Workspace & TAM team within the Operations team of our IT staff department.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Ensure Smooth Operations:
Keep computers, laptops, and hardware components in top shape through routine maintenance and troubleshooting.Network Management:
Manage network connectivity for employees, peripheral devices (printers, scanners, etc.), and user access to applications and workspaces.Application Deployment:
Oversee the deployment of workspace applications, monitor their lifecycle, and provide technical support for specialized tools.Data Security and Collaboration:
Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data, support collaboration tools, and keep documentation up to date.Performance Monitoring:
Use monitoring tools to track the performance of workspaces and applications, generate regular status reports, and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
5+ years of relevant experience as an IT Workspace and/or Applications Specialist.
Bachelor degree (Hbo) or vocational education (Mbo) in the field of IT.
Proven problem-analysis capabilities along with plotting successful mitigating actions.
Good command of the Dutch and English language (written & verbal).
Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
