What will you be doing?
As the Executive Chef of Babylon Hotel in The Hague responsible for the Living Room restaurant, breakfast and banqueting. You ensure that every dish leaving your kitchen is not only delicious but also visually enticing. Be it an early breakfast or a late dessert, your commitment to impeccable standards remains unwavering. Whether you're serving individual guests or catering to groups of up to 200 people, you thrive on the exciting challenge. In this role, staying current with culinary techniques, food trends, and ingredients is a given, and you excel at sharing this knowledge passionately with your team and guests. Additionally, you'll take charge of training and supervising apprentices and trainees. Your daily mission is to elevate processes, products, and menus, relentlessly pursuing improvement. Proficient time management and creative menu innovation come naturally to you, ensuring that each day for you and your colleagues is a source of uniqueness and inspiration.

The Babylon Hotel The Hague, an icon at The Hague Central Station since 1978 and part of Eden Hotels. Experienced in hotel kitchen is a must
Hires, trains, motivates, evaluates, and supervises staff to ensure that employees receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives.
As an Executive Chef you are active member of the Management Team within the Babylon Hotel The Hague.
Understands vision and department objectives, standards, guidelines, and budget to achieve effective supervision of department.
Plans menus considering marketing conditions, popularity of various dishes and recent menus.
Checks methods of food preparation and cooking, sizes of portions, and garnishing of foods by tasting.
Procures food supplies and kitchen equipment from approved suppliers as needed and approve the quality of foods received.
Responsible for storage of food items to ensure quality of food and compliance with health requirements.
Consults with banquet sales and clients to create, adapt, and tailor special menu.
Responsible for tracking food cost variances and adjusting such prices to food items that will result in net profit.
Required to meet budgetary guidelines for food, labour and miscellaneous costs.
Attend and participate in MT meetings and team meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
You have a SVH leermeester.
HACCP certificate.
Preferably experience as a Chef or Sous-chef is also fine.
You live in, and or around, The Hague region.

A gross salary starting at 3700 - 4000 per month (based on full-time employment).
