DHL eCommerce is one of the divisions of DHL, dedicated to both domestic and international parcel delivery, through our cutting-edge cross-border products. We are looking for a Senior Global Pricing Manager to join our international team in DHL eCommerce.
Position Location:
Bonn (or anywhere in Europe)JOB PURPOSE
Implement a state-of-the-art pricing approach from price setting to price management throughout the organization and across channels and products as well as supporting countries in establishing Pricing Excellence or turnaround projects.
Setting common standards, supporting the countries with necessary training, analysis and advice form core activities of this role. A light house project in this respect is the rollout and further development of our divisional pricing tool next to continuous improvements on reporting.
YOUR TASKS:
Your main responsibilities would be (but aren't limited to):
- Establish in collaboration with countries a governance model and common processes with regards to price setting and price management for new and existing business
- Drive pricing excellence by managing the rollout of our pricing tool PCOMS in selected countries
- Head regular cross-country system alignment sessions and provide recommendations towards the eCom board members or manage escalation events as they occur
- Provide necessary training, system support and administration to leverage pricing system and consistency related to the Global Pricing Frameset
- Define new feature requirements for continuous improvement of our pricing system landscape
- Drive change management within and beyond the pricing community to ensure buy-in and acceptance of new pricing methodologies and systems
- Management and continuous improvement of our PowerBI reporting dashboards on Price setting and Price Management and thereby support in preparing annual country pricing alignment meetings with respect to price setting
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cross-functional alignment and support as needed to drive forward the Global eCS Pricing strategy
- Represent the Global Pricing function in overall commercial related projects including providing support to cross functional projects
- Mentor country pricing projects by providing country benchmarking, guidance and analysis including onsite assistance as and when needed
- Serve as input source to future Global Pricing Frameset enhancements
- Market / Competitor price Monitoring to continuously ensure our pricing approach and targeted positioning strategy is in sync with market environment
- Develop strong, trusting relationships with senior business leaders across eCS division
- Engage with Finance to help and ensure implementation of Pricing requirements with regards to the upcoming deployment of a central billing solution
- Communicate and align within Pricing community on tools, multi-national accounts and pricing strategy to continuously drive pricing excellence from within the organization
WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU
- University degree in business administration or comparable
- Professional experience in a Pricing-related function
- Project management experience related to process and/or system implementation required
- (e. G. Set-up of Pricing strategies for products or implementing price adjustments)
- Experience in both B2B and B2C Pricing and/or Revenue Management strongly desired
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills, paired with an eye for details
- International working experience in a matrix organization
- Being a self-starter with a positive convincing personality who knows how to get the buy-in from pioneer thinkers as well as hesitant late adapters
- Pragmatic thinker with can-do spirit, holistic view, and multi-tasking skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel required, experience in billing systems desired
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional language skills are a plus
