As Business controller - sales you oversee the entire process for sales forecasting by all account teams globally and are able to effectively communicate with different cultures and teams within ASML finance. You are hands on and able to cope with fast-paced dynamic environment that requires insights into financial data, risks & opportunities.
In this role you will learn how ASML operates, you will get to know our products and how we transact with our customers.
Role and responsibilities
You will work together with the systems, upgrade, service controller who are responsible for analysis & reporting of the global system sales forecasting and challenging the local sales controllers on their forecast. Your will mainly focus on the upgrade forecasting and will work together with different stakeholders in Veldhoven and worldwide.
You will be exposed to several senior management layers in the organization as well as controllers in multiple countries (Asia, Europe and the US).
Together with the team you are responsible to:
Deliver the monthly system sales forecast on time
Use input of country controllers to prepare the consolidated system sales forecast
Challenge the country controllers on their forecasts
Translate large amounts of data into insights
Explain the business drivers supporting the sales forecast
Adding quality and value to information by providing solid analysis
Pro-actively identify opportunities to automate planning processes
Provide proactive support and input to Sales/Business Line controllers
Requirements:
Bachelor or master degree, preferably in the area of Controlling, Business Economics or Business Administration.
You have 6-8 years relevant experience in finance, accounting or data-analytics.
You are an experienced user in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and have worked with or are comfortable with learning (new) BI Reporting tooling (e.g. Tibco Spotfire or Tableau).
Preferably you also have experience in SAP (incl. BW, SAC, BPC and BO).
Preferably you have experience in revenue recognition accounting guidelines (ASC 606/IFRS15).
