Data engineering internship

As a Data Engineering intern, you will dive into the world of Data Engineering, collaborating closely with our experienced Data Product Team. Your role will involve analyzing the current Software Data Engineering setup and working with the team to provide valuable insights and suggestions for improvement. You will be encouraged to bring new ideas and contribute to the development of data products.

During your internship, you will work with cutting-edge technologies such as Python, Databricks, and Azure Cloud. You will also gain hands-on experience with Scrum and DevOps methodologies by working alongside skilled engineers on real-world use cases, further contributing to data product development.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with the Data Product Team to gain context and offer improvement suggestions.
• Analyzing the current Software Data Engineering setup to identify enhancement opportunities.
• Contributing innovative ideas to the Data Product Team.
• Focusing on the development and enhancement of data products.

You will be part of the Data Product Team of 6-8 members, collaborating to deliver future-ready applications using the latest technologies.

We are seeking talented and proactive interns to help advance ABN AMRO's data engineering capabilities.

• You are enrolled in a Dutch university (HBO or WO) and pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• You possess knowledge of programming languages and technologies such as Python and Azure.
• You have an analytical mindset and a strong affinity for data.
• You are results-oriented and a team player.
• You have excellent English communication skills.
• You are available to start on March 1st 2025 and can commit to a full-time (36-40 hours per week), 6-month internship.
• You can work at least two days a week at our Amsterdam Zuid office.

• A monthly compensation of €750 (based on a full-time contract)
