We are looking for 2 purpose-led leaders to join our Procurement Sustainability team.
For the first position, we are looking for someone who believes in the power of compliance work to create positive social impact, who understands indirect procurement and hopefully brings experience in human rights
In the second position, we seek for someone who sees sustainability as an enabler for better business, who understands indirect procurement, in particular the Real Estate business and hopefully brings experience in responsible sourcing.
Both positions are based in Malmö, Sweden and presence in the office is required, hence we are looking for people already living in Malmö or within a reasonable commuting distance. This position may require occasional travelling.
Commonly in both we are looking for someone who brings:
- Effective collaboration skills, actively seeking cross-functional partnerships to achieve the greatest possible impact and build trustful relationships on different levels inside and outside IKEA
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Proven experience in driving and managing projects, including securing supply chain compliance and leading development projects with suppliers, along with strong interdependent leadership skills
- Passionate communication skills and engagement skills.
- Values-based mindset in order to create togetherness and enthusiasm around you.
Specifically for the first position:
- Higher education, preferably in sustainability, human rights or similar, and experience working with responsible sourcing in a corporate environment.
- Knowledge and experience onof how to successfully implement a supplier code of conduct and maintain compliance over time.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest legislation, trends, and research on human rights and social impact in supply chain.
Specifically for the second position:
- Higher education in responsible sourcing, sustainability science, engineering or similar and experience working from international organizations, preferably in the areas of Sustainability, Procurement, or Real Estate.
- Advanced knowledge in how to lead and drive a business agenda in a highly complex business with cross-functional relations and interdependencies.
- Experience in the sectors of construction and/or facility management a plus.
- Knowledge of sustainable building standards, sustainable materials, and human rights a plus.

Your focus will be to lead the development and coordinate implementation of our Supplier Code of Conduct, IWAY, as well as the development of social sustainability initiatives while supporting Ingka Procurement with both strategic and operational expertise by inspiring, challenging, communicating, and leading by example to make things happen.
- Serve as the expert on our supplier code of conduct (IWAY) and social sustainability initiatives within procurement.
- Lead and oversee global development projects and pilots related to social sustainability in procurement across Ingka and with our suppliers.
- Support human rights due diligence activities within procurement.
- Represent procurement in forums and working groups focused on social sustainability.
- Monitor and report on our performance and progress towards procurement sustainability goals, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in connection with IWAY and social sustainability initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, business owners, procurement teams, and suppliers to achieve and maintain compliance with IWAY and identify social sustainability-related business opportunities.
- Promote and enhance competence and knowledge on social sustainability across the organization and throughout the value chain.
Specifically for the second position:
You will be the sustainability business partner to our Category Area Real Estate, encompassing suppliers across Construction, Fit- out, Facility Services, Utilities, and Equipment while supporting Ingka Procurement with both strategic and operational sustainability expertise by inspiring, challenging, communicating, and leading by example.
- Act as a sustainability business partner to procurement categories in the area of real estate, ensuring the integration and execution of sustainability activities from start to finish.
- Support the implementation of our Supplier Code of Conduct (IWAY) and drive decarbonization efforts across products and services.
- Monitor and report on our performance and progress towards procurement sustainability goals, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in line with external requirements.
- Collaborate closely with sustainability developers in various countries, business owners, procurement teams, and suppliers to achieve and maintain sustainability compliance and identify related business opportunities.
- Enhance and disseminate sustainability knowledge and competence throughout our extended value chain.
