The Payroll Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of payroll for Urban Gym Group employees in both the UK and the Netherlands. This role is critical in maintaining employee satisfaction, ensuring compliance with regional regulations, and supporting the growth of our dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing:
- Manage and oversee end-to-end payroll for employees in the UK and Netherlands.
- Liaise with external payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll data.
- Ensure the accuracy of salaries, deductions, bonuses, and benefits for all staff.
Compliance and Regulations:
- Stay informed of payroll regulations and tax requirements in both the UK (HMRC) and the Netherlands (Belastingdienst).
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including social security, and other tax-related filings.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and statutory returns.
Employee Support and Communication:
- Act as the first point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, providing clear and timely responses to employees in both countries.
- Support new hires and leavers with payroll-related processes, including tax code updates and issuing relevant documents.
- Educate employees on pay slips, tax contributions, and benefits.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and secure payroll records for all employees in compliance with GDPR regulations.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc payroll reports for management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
- Assist the Finance team in budget planning by providing payroll cost analysis.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline payroll processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the HR team to enhance payroll systems and ensure seamless integration with HR platforms.
Compensation Strategy:
- Co-develop and implement remuneration policies, including salary structures, incentive programs, and benefits.
- Conduct market benchmarking to ensure competitive positioning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in payroll processing for both the UK and the Netherlands.
- Experience in the fitness or hospitality industry is a plus.
- Strong understanding of UK and Dutch payroll regulations.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems.
- Fluency in English and Dutch (written and spoken).
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
