You and Your Job
As a TDD Analyst you will be successful at evaluation of trade finance transactions and detection of red flag scenarios related to Trade Based Money Laundering.
The TDD analyst will perform due diligence vetting of all appropriate parties, ensure customers are vetted prior to the trade process and escalate where necessary. The role also involves a cross eye review of processed trades to ensure completeness, accuracy and conformance to applicable policies and procedures. The TDD analyst through performance of their daily role and responsibilities ensures our organization is not exposed to risks associated with money laundering, terrorist financing, OFAC sanctions and fraudulent transactions.
Job Responsibilities
The majority of the time, the analyst will evaluate the information within the trade transaction, conduct vetting of commodity pricing against the marker, vessel, and relevant parties. The TDD environment is fast-paced, where the trade review goaled with the same day completion.
As a TDD analyst, you will work closely with and have exposure to Front Office/Business, International Trade Services Team, Financial Crime Compliance, and Client onboarding teams.
Your Promise to Us:
To be considered for the Trade Due Diligence Analyst role, you must have:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- CAMS or equivalent certification preferred
- 2+ years of experience in AML, KYC, Due Diligence, Risk, Fraud, Compliance, and more specifically in trade finance transactions, commodity pricing and international shipping.
- Knowledge of BSA/AML, and other AML regulatory policies, with a strong understanding of AML typologies, geography, products, customer type and expected type of activity in order to effectively identify risk
- Understanding of the banking industry, especially Trade Finance
- Exceptional research and analytical skills with the ability to red-flags and potential high-risk activity, and to document conclusions appropriately
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Access Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to travel regionally, up to 15%
