What you'll need to have
• Educational background in Accounting / Finance / Economics or a related field• Professionally qualified accountant ACA/ACCA or local equivalent would be considered as an advantage.
• Previous 10 years with increased responsibility in accounting, reporting, financial controlling, tax and audit; leading diverse and remote teams.
• Deep understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); as well as excellent knowledge of tax accounting and tax compliance
• Excellent knowledge of how to plan, measure financial records in compliance with internal and external regulations and ensuring value for money in reaching business objectives and long-term profitable growth.
• Business Partnering: Strategic, tactical and operational business partner, with strong analytical skills, translate business needs into financial consequences and solutions.
• Networking: Strong network and relationship builder both within and outside of the own organization.

About the job:To lead, steer and support overall Ingka financial reporting that is beneficial to people & planet and protects and adds value to our assets, securing profitable growth and financial independence. By providing Accounting & Reporting services as well as Financial Reporting, supporting a strong compliance framework, and effective governance to enable entrepreneurship and safeguard our people, customers and businesses.
To steer, advise, monitor and support the Ingka Group in the South East Europe region in a proactive way on direct and indirect Tax matters.
This position is responsible for five countries in the South East Europe region and reports directly to the SEE Chief Financial Officer.
About the assignment:
• Lead the development of the financial controlling team based on the global finance, organizational and people development direction to secure the right competences, performance and succession.
• Lead and supervise local and/or centralized Accounting & Reporting Operations to ensure relevant, complete, accurate and timely closings and Financial and Management reporting, based on standard global frameworks and local legal and tax requirements.
• Accountable for securing, setting up and maintaining the financial structures to follow-up cost and performance and support decision making in line with global frameworks.
• Lead close cooperation with Business Navigation to create insight in costs and performance and support business steering based on standard global frameworks (e.g. Accounting, reporting, internal control).
• Accountable for variance analysis, reviewing and challenging reported actuals and forecasts and first level of commentary.
• Accountable for cooperation with Group Financial Controlling (matrix), Group Tax and Country organization to minimize deviations from standard global frameworks for local business needs and compliance reasons and secures effective ways of working. Contributes to global projects and local execution (as part of these projects) to simplifying, harmonizing and automating financial operations and reporting
• Secure effective governance and supervise solid support for country management with insight in financial performance & position, liquidity, investment decisions and financial planning.
• Accountable for effective implementation of the internal control framework in the country financial operations and report on country and global level on effectiveness.
• Manage tax risks and opportunities through the implementation, administration and monitoring of a tax control framework.
• Manage the relationship with the external auditor and enable an efficient and effective external audit process; manage the relationship with tax authorities in the South East Europe region and manage tax audits in cooperation with Group Tax.
• Secure close cooperation with Legal and Tax teams to ensure compliance with legal and tax requirements. Accountable for tax compliance for less complex and standard countries.
• Secure and maintain a connection with and between core areas, business owners, group functions, process teams within the Ingka Group.
• Secure cross-organizational readiness and continued business growth in terms of competence, performance and succession through enabling an end-to-end approach.
• Ensure a safe environment for co-workers and external consultants and contractors in accordance with Ingka policies.
