 Are you ready to take the helm of a dynamic team of engineers? As the chapter lead of Low Code Platform and Automation, you deliver or work closely with the owners of a unified and scalable low-code development environment and governance. It is based on a single global ownership model but operated locally to meet business needs and regulatory compliance. Each low-code technology, such as Pega, Mendix or OutSystems, has its platform blueprint, ensuring consistency and enabling the reuse of solution patterns across instances. The platform supports a 'SaaS model' approach for efficient and standardized operations. The architecture emphasizes the importance of a single blueprint and decision three for each technology to guarantee uniform behaviour and operations across all instances.
The team:
As the Chapter Lead for the Low-Code Platform and Automation department, you will work closely with automation platform owners and lead a team of engineers and developers to deliver scalable and reliable low-code solutions. You will play a crucial role in shaping the strategy and governance, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful implementation of low-code platforms across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Direction: Provide leadership and direction to the LowCode as a Service team, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy and objectives. Communicate the vision and strategy for low-code development and ensure its successful implementation.
- Team Development and Support: Recruit, motivate, and develop a highly skilled engineering workforce. Foster a high-performing culture within the team and provide mentorship and support to team members
- Solution Delivery: Oversee the delivery of low-code solutions that support the organization's business capabilities. Ensure low-code platforms and applications' quality, performance, and security.
- Innovation and Improvement: Drive continuous improvement and innovation in lowcode development. Stay updated with current technologies and emerging trends to enhance the low-code landscape.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with senior stakeholders to understand their needs and concerns. Develop and gain agreement on annual business plans, ensuring alignment with the overall strategy.
- Operational Excellence: To drive operational excellence, simplify complex processes and implement best practices. Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of low-code services.
- Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations. Implement best practices to protect the organization's data and systems.
- Financial and Budget Management: Oversee the financial aspects of the LowCode as a Service department, including developing and managing the budget for all initiatives. I also ensure efficient and effective resource allocation.
How to succeed:
- Educational Background: University or postgraduate (Master's degree) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: 7-10 years of experience in IT management or a related field, with proven leadership skills and a strong strategic vision.
- Technical Expertise: Deep expertise in low-code development platforms like ServiceNow, OutSystems, and Pega, with knowledge of emerging trends.
- Digital Transformation: Strong understanding of digital transformation, strategic planning, and innovation management.
- Escalation Management: Ability to handle major escalations with urgency and effectiveness.
- Team Leadership: Proven track record in leading multidisciplinary teams and promoting talent.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate IT concepts to diverse audiences.
