We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Area Lead to oversee our Managed Technology Services, which are part of the Corporate Technology IT department. The Corporate Technology department focuses on employee experience by delivering different services, platforms, and run-and-change activities that serve multiple business and tech functions, such as GHR, HRNL, GPS, CREM, CREFS, CDMO, Transformation Office, Tech WPS, Tech I&E, Corporate Communications, Corporate Legal, and Hubs.
This senior management position is crucial for managing and maintaining our business assets, aligning with our central themes of reliability, security, and resilience. The role will primarily focus on NL-based services, ensuring that our business assets are managed efficiently and effectively. Managed Technology Services focuses on managing business assets as a service without being part of a Business Tribe. Most business functions in scope are NL-based functions and include CREFS, Corporate Comms, Transformation Office and CDMO.

You will report directly to the IT Lead of Corporate Technology and be part of the excellent management team, together driving the vision and strategy
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Direction. Being a thoughtful leader, driving the strategic horizons of products/capabilities. Moreover, identifying and communicating the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the business or department.
- Talent Management. Maximising the effectiveness of the Chapter Leads and PO's by facilitating and guiding them to grow the members of their chapter(s).
- Evaluating capabilities of staff within the department to identify gaps and prioritize development activities.
- Technical Expertise & Solution Architecture. Applying Tech expertise to act as the organizational authority on implementing, configuring and optimizing solutions and services, while ensuring smooth integration with existing IT infrastructure.
- Tactical and Operational management including Compliance. Developing procedures and applying policies for area of expertise to achieve specified outputs, or advising the wider business on application of policies, then monitoring implementation of those procedures within the organization.
- Managing Risk and Compliance of services at a strategic level, which means ensuring that the service resilience is fit for purpose at a design and architecture level. • Third Party management, in line with our sourcing policies and regulatory demands.
- Stakeholder Management. Developing business partner relationships and driving Employee Experience cross-functional capabilities across tech domains and business partners.
- Innovation. Drive organization-wide initiatives, including employee experience, tech fluency, innovation, and strategic planning.
- Take responsibility for developing and delivering change management plans and achieving outcomes that support the organization's overall strategy.
How to Succeed:
- Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive job-related experience. Experience in planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives as specified by more senior managers
- Experience or potential in managing managers.
- Building and developing tech roadmaps, business cases and running PoC/PoV's in collaboration with Architecture and Integrators.
- Strong knowledge of current technologies and emerging trends in this area.
- Expertise in driving and steering multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated track record of building and maintaining highly collaborative, flexible, and productive cross-organisation teams.
- Articulate, persuasive and able to communicate constructive criticism and IT related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, as well as outstanding negotiation and change management skills.
- Ability to take responsibility, steer strategy and realisations based on facts and data, and have managerial courage to question and make decisions.
- Ability to simplify complexity and drive operational excellence.
- Ability to support yourself and other team members in development.
- Excellent level of English.
- Experience in a financial environment is a plus
