As part of the Modular Banking Services team, you will focus on Embedded Finance initiatives, specifically within Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Lending projects.

Gain hands-on experience in three key areas: conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and growth opportunities, contribute to data analysis to enhance lending propositions, and assist in building business cases with financial models to evaluate potential returns and risks. As a Strategy and Innovation Intern, you will:

• Conduct Market Research & Competitor Analysis:
  • Gather and analyze data on market trends related to SME lending.
  • Research existing competitors offering Embedded SME Lending solutions.
  • Identify potential partners or industries that could benefit from ABN AMRO's SME lending proposition.
• Data Collection & Analysis:
  • Analyze SME behavior, loan demand patterns, transaction history, etc., to uncover valuable insights.
  • Support the team by compiling datasets that help assess loan risk, demand forecasting, and market segmentation.
  • Develop reports to make insights accessible to team members.
• Assist in Building Business Cases:
  • Work on developing financial models for Embedded SME lending propositions, focusing on metrics such as ROI, cost of acquisition, and loan volume.
  • Collaborate with the finance and strategy teams to project revenues, margins, and costs.
  • Support in preparing presentations for stakeholders that clearly outline the potential benefits of the proposed lending solutions.

• Education: Currently pursuing a degree at the WO/MSc/MA/MBA level, preferably in Finance or a related field.
• Availability: Preferred availability of 3 months, starting as early as February 1st, 2025, with flexibility. Part-time commitment.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint and Excel. Strong presentation skills, both in writing and delivering.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Work Style: Highly autonomous and disciplined, with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Organized, reliable, and confident in managing tasks and responsibilities.
