Job description
The purpose of the IKEA Food Compliance Executive is to support the IKEA Food Halal Compliance Manager in managing all aspects of the IKEA stores Halal operations, ensuring compliance with Halal standards and regulations.
- To assist the Halal Compliance Manager to develop and implement halal compliance policies and procedures for all IKEA stores' food service outlets.
- To assist to set up HALAL SOP and HALAL ASSURANCE SYSTEM manual and guidelines periodically to maintain halal integrity and ensure information is up to date.
- Liaise with JAKIM, MOH, and any other government agencies on halal-related matters to meet food safety requirements.
- Conduct trainings for related departments to ensure food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- To support Halal Compliance Manager to conduct Halal quality assurance investigations.
- Keep stores updated on any changes related to Halal certification.
- To assist Halal Compliance Manager to review Halal Assurance System periodically to ensure information is up to date.
- Ensure food & beverage supplies are halal and registered with MYeHALAL.
- To assist Halal Compliance Manager to prepare documents/reports for HALAL committee meetings.
- Monitor and ensure all HALAL files and documents are in order and well organized.
- To assist Halal Compliance Manager to conduct external and internal halal audits on halal quality regularly and be in charge of internal halal training to provide knowledge and awareness of halal in the food & beverage industry.
Qualification
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in Halal or Food Science.
- At least 2 years of working experience in the food & beverage industry as a Halal compliance officer.
- Knowledge and experience in determining/checking product materials/ingredients.
- Extensive experience in the application process for obtaining new Halal certifications.
- Well-versed in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Decision-making and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to lead change and make things happen.
- Strong analytical and planning skill.
- Ability to organise, plan and prioritise.
