About the job
Regulatory data request (RDR) team, within ING COO Risk/Global Risk Service Organisation, is responsible for Ad-Hoc regulatory data reporting and analysis. You will be part of the team contributing to the reporting process from analysing regulation of main European regulatory bodies, translating them into standardized reporting templates using data analytical tools such as SAS Enterprise Guide and Excel. You will be part of an international and enthusiastic team. Openness in communication and "can do" mentality are important characteristics of the team.
Role & Responsibilities
Creating data models for reporting based on regulations such as Basel III, Basel IV, COREP, FINREP.
Reading and translating regulatory documents into datamarts using SAS for the report.
Keeping contact with the stakeholders, in the Front Office and risk management domains (local and global), to understand their reporting requirements towards the regulator.
Creating relevant documentations for the newly created reports, documenting both business logic used as well as coding.
Acting key person on selected reports and taking all initiatives around that report while making sure that it is submitted timely and accurately.
Finding efficiencies and challenging the status-co of existing processes.

You have experience in working with large databases within the financial services industry (preferably credit risk related) and have a thorough understanding of:
Datawarehouse concepts and data modelling techniques in the context of a complex data landscape.
BI tooling (SAS, SQL Developer) at an advanced level, a.o. Writing macro scripts to extract data directly from Oracle and perform fully automated reconciliations between datasets.
Translating business requirements and observed defects into clear user stories for the development.
Importance of script hygiene for readable and understandable code and clear documentation.
You are experienced in how to optimize scripts to reduce processing time and data storage.
Knowledge of Credit Risk concepts (e.g. Risk Weighted Assets, Expected Loss, Definition of Default) is a plus.
