Our Corporate Planning & Control (CPC) team works closely with the Group Controller, the Group CFO, Business CFOs, Group Strategy, Portfolio Management, Execution Office, and the Executive Board of ABN AMRO.
Your jobYou are part of the leadership team of CPC. For some of your tasks you will be directly reporting to the Head of Controlling. You are responsible for:
- Financial management reporting and monitoring on major IT & business change (strategic and regulatory) programs.
- Cooordinating forecast and projections figures from the Business side.
- Paarticipating in the funding allocation for the IT side.
- Ensuring financial monitoring and the reporting on actual costs from the Bank-wide perspective (Business + IT).
- Being Finance representative in the Bank-wide change management process, including link of short and long term deliverables and roadmaps to the financials.
- Working on changes driven by changes in scope and governance.
- Controlling support for the Strategy development (Group Strategy Office) and strategy execution (Strategic portfolio management team).
- Assessment on financial progress of our strategy execution via benefit tracking of strategic revenue and cost initiatives.
- Assessment on strategic business cases and involvement in the Stage Gate model process.
- Coaching and facilitating the work of junior members of the team making sure they get the best out of themselves.
You work in the Corporate Planning & Control team, which is part of Finance Controlling. The team is around 18 people and consists of young, ambitious professionals combined with experienced seniors and a leadership team that strongly believes in personal development. We have an open and trusted atmosphere with strong and fun team work in order to deliver high quality products to senior management. Given our central role in the management control cycle of ABN AMRO we work in close contact with many other departments within and outside Finance.
You will join an environment of continuous learning both on a professional and personal level. You will get detailed insights in the strategy and financial performance of the bank and its business drivers with exposure to senior management.
Your profile- Economics and/or Business administration at Master level or a similar post-graduate training.
- 7+ years relevant working experience in a Finance - Controlling environment (experience in change management and/or managing costs programs is a plus).
- Fluent English, understanding Dutch is a plus.
- Strong analytical / financial skills and writing skills, including providing clear advices.
- You think strategically but at the same time do not lose eye for the detail.
- You are able to work independently and pro-actively anticipating client needs.
- You have strong communication skills and are able to build trust in a senior environment.
- The gross monthly salary displayed above (Hay 12) is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
- The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
- Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
- Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
