The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager supports the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the hotel's food and beverage outlets, including the restaurant, bar, room service, and event catering. The ideal candidate will assist in managing staff, ensuring quality service, and upholding operational standards to maximize guest satisfaction and profitability. This role is suited to an experienced F&B professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality. Key Responsibilities: Operational Support:
- Assist in managing the daily operations across all F&B outlets, ensuring efficient service and quality.
- Oversee service setup, dining areas, and cleanliness in accordance with hotel standards.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as kitchen and front office, to ensure seamless service, especially during high-occupancy and large-scale events.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise, train, and motivate F&B staff to provide exceptional guest service.
- Assist with shift scheduling, performance reviews, and continuous staff development.
- Conduct regular briefings and ensure clear communication within the F&B team.
Guest Satisfaction:
- Engage with guests to gather feedback, address concerns, and provide solutions to enhance their experience.
- Uphold service standards, ensure prompt and courteous service, and lead by example.
- Actively resolve guest complaints, ensuring satisfaction and documenting any service issues.
Inventory and Cost Control:
- Monitor inventory levels for F&B supplies and place orders as needed to maintain stock without overstocking.
- Support the Food & Beverage Manager in monitoring costs, implementing cost-control measures, and optimizing revenue.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and maintain accurate records for all F&B supplies and equipment.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations across all F&B areas.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect both staff and guests.
- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices to ensure the hotel's F&B operations meet regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in food and beverage management, ideally within a hotel setting.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to supervise and develop a diverse team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a guest-first approach.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in F&B management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Dutch is an asset.
