An opportunity has arisen for a new role to be created within the Brand & Marketing team of CoE Communications & Brand Experience NL. We are looking for an enthusiastic Wholesale Banking (WB) NL Brand Management Expert to join the Brand & Marketing team.
As the Expert for ING Netherlands (WB NL Brand Management) you will develop and implement the WB NL brand & marketing strategy in line with the overall WB NL strategy. You will advise and work with WB NL to formulate the positioning, marcom plans and to identify and pro-actively drive an internal and external activation calendar on topics key to ING's NL Wholesale Banking purpose and strategy to position wholesale banking in the NL market.
You will be responsible for coordinating and bringing together the different marcom initiatives and activities in a coherent plan. You work across disciplines to engage and to drive awareness and excitement for the WB NL strategy.
The team
As WB NL Brand Management Expert you'll join the Brand & Marketing team of the CoE Comms & Brand Experience NL. Together with your WB NL-focused colleagues in the other CoE teams, ao in Internal Comms & Engagement and Media Relations & Issue Mgt, you'll will be responsible for the overall WB NL marketing and internal and external communications, raising the profile of ING WB in the Netherlands and ensuring messages are consistent with ING's global positioning and standards.
The WB Brand Management Expert will report into the Expert Lead Brand & MarCom and will work closely together with the WB NL office as well as with the Global Communications, Brand & MarCom team in head office.
Roles and responsibilities
Define the (digital) marketing strategy and plan by providing input regarding the implementation of marketing communication initiatives.
Develop and/or deliver an integrated MarCom plan for significant aspects of external communications including relationship marketing and thought leadership initiatives in close collaboration with other colleagues.
Lead and coordinate the development and delivery of (digital) marketing communications strategy across all stakeholders to support the business plan.
Manages and executes a portfolio of projects

As a Brand Management Expert you have the following traits and experience
A Master preferably in Marketing or MarCom
Minimum of 10-12 years of experience. Proven track record in B2B marketing & marcom, with a strong preference for experience in Wholesale Banking; experience in defining strategy and transforming strategy into clear projects in order to set and deliver objectives within certain time frame
Advisory skills on management level
Fluent in both English and Dutch in speech and in writing
Affinity/experience with Sustainability/ ESG topics
Applies knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization's goals. For example, leverages insights to shape and drive critical initiatives. Shares industry developments with the team; helps them grasp business and industry fundamentals and understand how they contribute.
Marcom planning: Create and implement internal and/or external marcom plans for WB NL, focused on priority areas in collaboration with business leads including ING's Head of WB NL. The planning should include a regular measurement and review cycle.
Activation and execution: End-to-end responsibility for the activation and execution of the WB Marcom plan, including project management, budget management and elements such as production, publishing and partnering.
Sees ahead to future possibilities and translates them into breakthrough strategies. For example, provides a clear picture of the organization's vision and strategy and what the team needs to do to realize them. Develops longer-term strategies that capitalize on the organization's distinct capabilities and emerging trends in the market.
