You and your job
The purpose of the Oracle Area is to provide continuity and run and change services to our consumers and customers for the Oracle Managed Database Services. The ambition of Oracle Area is providing a managed database platform with high availability and security for demanding applications for critical business chains of the Rabobank. The Oracle Area's main purpose and responsibilities are:- Delivering, maintaining, and operating a high-performance database platform
- Ensuring the database and infrastructure platform meets performance, security, risk, and compliance requirements
- Enabling seamless integration within Rabobank's ecosystem
- Providing smooth database provisioning and second day operations including lifecycle management (fully automated services)
- Specialist support and consultancy to consumers regarding use of Oracle DB & platform
The Oracle Area consists of six squads, each focused on different parts of the Oracle Managed Database Services.
You are part of the Squad triangles and Area Leadership team in which you are involved in technical, organisation and also human aspects.
You will lead the squads to successfully deliver on their purpose, empower them, and provide clear direction. You will effectively manage stakeholders and dependencies in the Tribes from Engineering & Enterprise Tech and contribute to Rabobank's wider regulatory, risk, and security objectives.
Top-of-mind responsibilities
- Leading the daily Tech delivery operations (run & change) with an exemplary role in leadership and agile mindset, creating a culture of excellence, engineering and continuous learning;
- Accountable for IT incidents, change, security, compliance, life cycle management, vulnerability, and Business Continuity Management of your Tech scope. You take the lead in case of emergency (COT/CMT procedures);
- HR responsible for your teams (approximately 20 members) regarding people and talent management and the engagement of all members;
- Manage the change from OPS and Dev to DevOps in an Agile environment (Simplified At Skill);
- Hiring, developing and retaining top talent in an overheated IT market;
- Facilitating a psychologically safe environment, in which learning and experimentation are central!
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration with the consuming areas; Management of internal suppliers and vendors.
- Stimulate the Simplify@Scale way of working with the Scrum Master(s) in your Squads.
You and your talent
Experience
: At least 3 years in various complex environments, holding different positions, with a minimum of 2 years leading multiple technical platform teams.Technical Expertise
: Proficient in technical infrastructure, as well as shared platform management services, including cloud, life cycle management, release management, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, monitoring, and operational run activities.Leadership
: Demonstrated success in leading change projects within complex organizations, managing multiple stakeholders, and overseeing technical dependencies across different areas and tribes.Regulatory Knowledge
: An understanding of regulations and their impact on processes and systems, particularly in the finance and risk domains.Communication
