What you'll be doing day to day
In this unique internship, you will be working in the junction between innovation and circularity by trying out new ways of extending the lifetime of our products. You will also support our team in both day-to-day and strategic activities of the Sustainability department.What you will do:
1. Assist with the design and execution of tests for services that enable circularity of IKEA's products
- Define the overall goal, hypothesis, metrics, and possible challenges
- Project coordination and tools
- Close contact with the stores and other stakeholders involved
- Data analysis and reporting
- Related administrative tasks
2. Support with social and environmental sustainability-related activities

What else you need:
• Understanding of circular economy concepts and the ability to connect them with tangible business models and practices.
• Familiarity with innovation methodologies (e.g. Design thinking), processes (e.g. Ideation, prototyping, testing), and tools (e.g. Miro).
• Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform project decisions and measure progress or impact.
• Skills in planning, organizing, and managing tasks to ensure timely and successful project execution.

• This internship starts from early February for 5-6 months.
• Fluent English is a requirement. Proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
• Your workplace is at IKEA SO (Service Office) in Haarlem, working remotely is also possible, but we expect you to be present in Haarlem at least 50% of the time.
