Home furnishing is the heart of IKEA. With our entire range as building blocks, it's our own interior designers, carpenters, visual communicators, and graphic designers who inspire our customers every day. We are now looking for a Graphic Communication Co-Worker at our Furuset store.
WHY YOU ARE THE RIGHT MATCH FOR THIS ROLE
Visual communication and graphic design is your passion, you are motivated and have a good eye for detail and enjoy creating clean and dynamic design. You have the IKEA Culture and Values at heart, and you exemplify these values in your communication with our customers. You are agile and able to reprioritize tasks to meet deadlines on short notice, you are used to working in fast-paced environments both independently and as part of a team.
You are familiar with graphic design, print production or typography. Ideally, you have a Bachelor's degree in or are studying graphic design, print production, media, typography or a similar subject or you have hands-on experience with graphic design software such as Photoshop and the Adobe Suite. You are comfortable communicating in both English and Norwegian.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Primarily your job is to amplify the shopping experience and range representation through IKEAs visual and verbal identity.
- You will be crafting simple and effective graphics, and use the large and small format printers.
- You will actively support with the development and implementation of the store communication strategies to support a convenient and inspiring shopping experience.
- You will work with various stakeholders and departments around the stores, including Service Office, in getting key communication messages (such as sustainability) out to our many customers.
- You will work within the guidelines that best represent the IKEA Brand Identity.
This role is a one year temporary position and is working from Furuset on a daily basis, but some visits to the IKEA Store at Slependen is required.
