This position is in Cargill's animal nutrition and health business, where we improve animal lives through better nutrition. Our team researches, innovates and creates solutions that deliver healthy results for our customers.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Technical Application Specialist will assess needs and actively provide technical solutions and support to customers with significant business impact. In this role, you will develop our nutritional concepts by offering innovative technology, recommendation and products to a large category organization. You will coordinate with business groups sales and commercial teams to identify and acquire new business with potential customers. You will collaborate with teams to manage a broad portfolio involving projects requiring new application technology.
Key Accountabilities
- Able to collaborate with team(s) at clients; co-creation is in your dna.
- Scope of work both at (semi) scientific level and in hard practice. Understanding the farm practice is highly appreciated.
- Seek solutions to issues using deep knowledge in one or more field and wide knowledge across multiple specialties.
- Identify and provide technical support to strategic customers with priority in the country or region.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Degree or work experience in Swine Animal Nutrition is highly appreciated.
- Available to travel - visiting customers (also abroad in the region).
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Minimum of four years of related work experience.
- Fluent level of English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in Dutch and also in German; oral and written.
- Demonstrated success in project and product management.
- Experience with customer support.
- Experience in nutritional concept development.
