The role
Are you a skilled Project Manager with expertise in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and ready to take on an interim role at Damen Naval? We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team and lead critical ILS initiatives that ensure seamless operational support and customer satisfaction.
As an Interim Project Manager ILS, you will oversee the development and execution of ILS packages, driving results in schedule, quality, and cost. You will bring your knowledge of ILS methodologies, gained in the defence or other complex technical environments, to support our naval engineering projects. This role will require close collaboration with various stakeholders and departments within Damen Naval.
Key accountabilities
As Project Manager Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), your core tasks will include:
- Lead ILS projects to ensure targeted results for schedule, quality, and cost.
- Work according to contract specifications and agreements with relevant stakeholders and departments.
- Professionalize and optimize the ILS project management process, delivering high-quality results that meet client expectations.
- Innovate and drive innovative approaches in ILS methodology while respecting existing work and processes.
- Ensure full compliance with company and end-user requirements and specifications.
- Draft ILS proposals, including technical specifications and pricing.
- Oversee day-to-day operations and plan long-term strategies for productive and cohesive ILS support.
- Measure and drive performance across all ILS activities, ensuring the team stay on track to meet goals within the allocated budget.
Skills & experience
To succeed as interim Project Manager Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) in this role, you should have:
- Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant technical discipline, ideally with an IPMA C certification.
- Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with maintenance and ILS methodologies, particularly within the defence industry or a complex technical environment.
- Good command of the English and Dutch language both written and verbal and German is a plus.
- Flexibility to work full-time in Vlissingen, with occasional travel to other locations.
- Competencies: customer orientation, teamwork, results-driven, coaching, planning, and organizing, leadership, and the ability to manage stress.
- Good command of the Dutch and English language both written and verbal.
- Excellent references antecedents as a pre-assignment security screening is part of the recruitment procedure.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with (also) a non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible given the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.

This temporary assignment is exclusively offered on a secondment (detachering) or temporary employment contract basis. Freelance or ZZP agreements are not considered due to current Dutch legislation.
