In our team, we believe in clear ownership & responsibility. The (junior) Data Analyst role within our Category Management Analytics team includes the following key responsibilities:
- Create and maintain an information infrastructure to empower commercial teams with data-driven insights for optimizing processes, adhering to frameworks, and supporting category management.
- Collaborate with internal teams and data engineers to identify relevant datasets, gather data from various sources (sales, inventory, customer feedback, market research, external providers), and develop & maintain a structured database for easy access and analysis.
- Develop data products for analyzing category performance metrics (sales, margins, stock, promotions, pricing, availability, channel performance, market share, customer behavior) to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities. Build and implement tools to enable business lines to maximize the value of insights and reports.
- Create and maintain appealing reports and dashboards in Power BI to facilitate data-driven decision-making. Conduct root cause analysis to identify factors impacting key performance indicators. Conduct ad-hoc analysis to answer specific business questions and provide actionable recommendations. Where necessary, apply advanced analytics methodologies (ML) to extract deeper insights from data.
- Partner with commercial teams to understand their business needs and translate them into actionable data product/reporting proposals that scale across business lines and improve decision-making processes.
- Support senior Managers and Category Management teams in adopting and making optimal use of tools and reports for product assortment planning, pricing strategies, promotional activities, and inventory management.
- Recommend process improvements based on data analysis. Keep up-to-date with the latest data analytics trends and technologies.

You understand that the customer is at the heart of all our operations and you enjoy working closely with other departments to support our customers. For the practical requirements, we also expect:
- Some experience in a Data Analytics role, preferably in Retail with a strong link to operations.
- Bachelor's degree in the area of economics, IT, or technology-related field.
- Experienced in PowerBI, SQL and Excel.
- Experience in Python and/or R is a plus.
- Fluent in English and Dutch.
