You and Your Job:
Accounting Policy is responsible for developing and maintaining robust accounting policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and internal controls. Accounting Policy also collaborates closely with Corporate Accounting, Risk, senior management, and auditors to ensure accurate reporting in addition to providing guidance and technical training to relevant stakeholders from time to time.
As business partner, we collaborate closely with front office to evaluate complex transactions from an accounting perspective and provide expert analysis on the appropriate accounting treatment to foster effective decision-making and risk management.
Job Responsibilities:
Finance
- Establish comprehensive accounting policies that align with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and internal controls. This involve researching, analyzing, and interpreting accounting standards (US GAAP and IFRS) to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Act as accounting subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to Corporate Accounting, front office bankers and other stakeholders such as Risk on the accounting treatment of complex transactions and critical accounting policies such as Current Expected Credit Losses, Revenue Recognition and Leases. Evaluate the financial implications of deals, products, or strategies and offer expert advice that is achieves optimal risk for Rabobank.
- Support and collaborate with Corporate Accounting, Regulatory Reporting teams, Head Office policy and product controls to ensure the accuracy of financial statements and footnote disclosures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Support and collaborate with auditors, regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders to address accounting-related inquiries, provide necessary documentation, and ensure transparency and trust in financial reporting. Foster positive relationships and act as a key point of contact for accounting-related matters.
- Communicate accounting policies, changes, and updates to relevant stakeholders. Facilitate training sessions and develop training materials to enhance understanding of accounting policies and ensure consistent application throughout the organization.
- Support internal and external audits or examinations related to accounting policies. Provide necessary documentation, respond to inquiries, and address any audit findings or recommendations.

- Have completed introduction to accounting.
- Be proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
