The three Human Resources areas embarked on a major Human Resources transformation program - HR unite - which aims to build an integrated Human Resources team with standardized processes, a single People Information System (Workday), and a dedicated integrated People Services organization. At the same time, all the Global Human Resources teams continue their journeys to evolve and transform, to deliver better services and products to ING employees.
Job Overview
Within the Global People Services organization, we are providing an umbrella of services to our internal ING organization in the HR field. As part of this we also work with various external vendors on a global basis and provide International Mobility services to relocate our employees around the globe. Not only should all these services be provided at the highest standard, the related costs also need to be charged to our global clients - the various ING countries.
Many of our services are supported by third parties (vendors) through software or services - we are responsible for managing these engagements and ensuring that they deliver what we expect. We are looking for an intern to support on various tasks in relation to internal and external vendor performance as well as international mobility projects. The ideal candidate has strong hands on, analytical skills, likes to work with numbers and is comfortable in working with ad-hoc tasks.
We are looking for somebody who is not afraid of handling and analyzing data. You are great at converting this data into relevant dashboards and are able to deliver on ad-hoc queries. By presenting related data insights effectively, you support stakeholders in important decision-making on topics like recruitment, mobility, turnover, diversity, engagement and organizational structures.
As you will be operating in a complex stakeholder environment, it is important you can prioritize information and insight needs. You are an energetic, self-motivated person who can work as part of multidisciplinary virtual teams and who can also work independently, think and act out of the box and take accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Help with maintaining standard reporting solutions based on HR data and applications, being able to create reports and provide insights to ad-hoc queries
- Execute on questions around reporting, dashboards and benchmarking, being able to reconcile data from multiple sources and considering the key aspects of data management (governance, protection, retention, quality, etc)
- Consolidate performance data and prepare SLA reporting analysis, monitoring data quality in line with vendor agreements
- Help with managing and maintaining standardized reporting catalogues and dashboards for specific audiences across ING, monitoring usage, evaluating value added and driving continuous improvements to the offered solutions.
- Support in optimizing the invoicing process of our external vendors and arrange fluid internal cross charging too.
- Handling specific International Mobility projects as part of current plan and support the International Mobility team accordingly.
Requirements
- You have strong analytical skills and like working with numbers.
- You understand the drivers of the ING business. You also have some knowledge of the internal ING Global People Services function and external Human Resources trends is preferred.
- You have a consultancy style, the professionalism to work with senior management, and can work both independently and as part of a team.
- You can set priorities in a fast-paced environment and escalate issues in a timely manner.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and high work pressure and can also work to tight deadlines.
- You are hands-on, proactive, resourceful, and willing to go the extra mile. You take things on and make it happen.
- You are a strong communicator at all levels of the organization (excellent written and verbal English language skills and story-telling abilities) and can be assertive when required.
- You are social, like to work with various nationalities and expand your network. This role requires you to work a few days per week from our global office in Amsterdam.
- You are proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- You are currently on track in your Bachelor or Master-studies, and you are fully available to help the team during your internship (no graduation assignments).
- The internship will be for a period of 4 to 6 months.
- Knowledge of the HR function's key processes would be advantageous.
