As part of our team in the Visual Merchandising department, you will be responsible for the presentation and communication of the IKEA furnishing range. With strong visual impressions, you will continue to surprise and inspire our visitors, thus strengthening the IKEA brand.• You have a creative spirit supported by commercial and visual skills and a sense of aesthetics.
• You have a passion for a fast-paced retail environment and the home furnishing business.
• You have a drive, a point of view and ideas to share and inspire through your designs.
• You are interested in teamwork and understand the importance of sharing knowledge.
• You have preferably studied visual merchandising, industrial or interior design, or a similar design field although it's not a prerequisite.
• You are proactive and seek to simplify working methods, processes, and new ways to work.
• You can deal with stressful and heavy workload times with balance.
• You have good knowledge of software related to planning and presentation (REVIT, AutoCAD)
• You are fluent in English and have preferably knowledge of German.
Your responsibilities
To be a part of a team, contributing with strong visual presentations and solutions. You will inspire our visitors and strengthen the IKEA brand on our market through different medias in the store which set us apart from competition.• You present the IKEA brand throughout the furniture store in a distinctive and contemporary way. Your sample solutions show the many advantages and possible uses of IKEA products and make the purchasing process easier for our customers.
• According to the specifications of the IKEA concept, you plan shops and layouts for individual departments and product areas and are involved in their implementation. You will use appropriate presentation techniques and ensure inspiring product range coordination. This includes craftsmanship and the correct lighting.
• To stay current, you'll continually deepen your knowledge of decor and trends, as well as how people in your local market live and what their needs, wants and dreams are for home life.
• By constantly presenting new product ranges and seasonal adjustments, you will always create new, surprising experiences for our customers in the furniture store that encourage them to buy and make them want to visit again.
• You work closely with colleagues from other departments in the furniture store and also coordinate the work of external companies in coordination with your leader.
