About the job
The role as Risk & Safety Leader will proactively support the business in the region within Europe with focus on risk management, safety and security. You are expected to be a valued business partner that drives for sustainable solutions, proactively influences managers and co-workers to establish a risk aware culture.
About the assignment
As a Risk & Safety Leader you are expected to work together with the Risk & Compliance manager to support the development of the business (Supply Area units, Manufacturing units, Business Units) by helping the business to identify and manage risks. You lead and coordinate a Network/Matrix organization of local Risk, Safety and Security responsible towards established goals, within the scope of Risk and Compliance agenda, to ensure compliance with Inter IKEA Group Policies, standards and working methods as well as local legal demands. This by following our Governance, Risk & Compliance cycle.
You will work with businesses to increase risk identification using the risk methodology and to ensure consistency in approach. You will need to be a strong facilitator to create values for Risk & Compliance through reviews and trainings. You will also work in partnership with the Management Teams regarding sensitive issues. Furthermore your tasks will be:
- Support and enable the Inter IKEA Group Crisis Management Methodology by training the units in scope and support them during activation.
- On request support the Ethics and Integrity global team on investigations and non-compliance towards the Code of Conduct,
- Act in a proactive way with the business to identifying existing risks, analyzing trends and emerging risks and proactively mitigate these, minimizing impact or likelihood
- Enable the business to consistently report through tools or templates
- Individual development and identify talents to secure succession planning
To be successful in this role you must have the following attributes:
- Understanding of the IKEA core businesses processes and IKEA culture and values.
- Demonstrate senior leadership & management skills.
- Understanding of IKEA governance structure and steering documents.
- Understanding of risk management frameworks including Safety & Security, Supply Chain Security and Ethics and Integrity.
- Good understanding of change management process.
- Business professional facilitation and communication skills and able to present and motivate with impact.
- Ability to inspire people by using strong coaching, influencing, communication, writing and listening skills.
- Ability to create, implement, execute and follow up on plans to deliver outstanding results.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant health, safety and security policies, standards, rules, manuals, tools and working methods
- Ability to transfer knowledge
- High integrity and level of independence, lead by example.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and preferred fluent in local language.
