As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), your role is integral to the organization's success, requiring you to leverage your extensive knowledge and experience to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business requirements. You play a crucial role in driving technological advancements and providing subject matter expertise in the SAP Finance and R2R - Record to Report area.One of your primary responsibilities involves engaging with stakeholders, including business leaders, solution and technical architects, project managers, and end-users, to understand requirements and challenges thoroughly. This collaboration extends to designing, reviewing, and architecting solutions that address identified needs within IKEA's technology-process-delivery ecosystem.
You are actively involved in providing SAP Finance functional and technical guidance to development teams, ensuring solutions align with industry best practices and standards. Troubleshooting, analyzing defects, and offering preventive actions for potential issues are also part of your daily tasks. Effective communication, both written and verbal, is crucial to ensure proposed solutions meet both technical and business requirements.
In terms of strategy and roadmap, you analyze the current landscape, goals, and challenges to suggest continuous improvement and innovation. You anticipate future hurdles and develop mitigation strategies while staying updated on relevant technologies to bring new solutions to the table.
In the realm of SAP technical and functional expertise, you demonstrate proficiency in designing and architecting scalable, secure, and high-performance Record-to-Report solutions. You will develop a deep understanding of IKEA's business processes and you have relevant industry and Record-to-Report-domain understanding. Integration technologies, security principles, analytical skills, and adherence to regulatory compliance are all part of your expertise.
Delivering results is a key focus, where you ensure successful technology implementation with acceptability across all hierarchies. As an individual contributor, you leverage hands-on expertise to deliver impactful results, documenting and optimizing business processes while mentoring junior team members. You will work closely with our business process experts, contributing with your experience in SAP Finance.
Problem-solving and decision-making are critical aspects of your role, requiring the application of critical thinking to navigate complex issues and make informed decisions based on data and stakeholder input. Stakeholder management is also vital, as you work with enterprise and domain architects and business stakeholders to adopt new technologies and ensure alignment and value delivery across various organizations within Ingka. Ultimately, your role contributes to the organization's growth and efficiency through continuous improvement, innovation, and effective technology implementation.
You have experience in the following areas:
• 10+ years of experience in R2R - Record to Report, specialized in the Finance & Controlling area.
• You have deep functional understanding of SAP Finance, both in design and configuration
• Track record of working in a similar role and delivering impactful results
• Experience in reviewing and evaluating vendor solutions
• Strong communication and coordination skills to work with cross-functional teams
• Strong Finance background with experience in core domain as auditor, accountant or finance/ controlling consultant is a must have.

Your responsibilities are:
Summary:
• SME possesses in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Record to Report process and Finance & Controlling subject matter.
• Has good stakeholder engagement skills and works closely with stakeholders, including business leaders, Solution and technical architects, project managers, and end-users, to gather and understand the requirements and challenges.
• Develops understanding and knowledge of existing solutions, processes and tools within IKEA's technology-process-delivery ecosystem and weighs various options to make design and develop holistic solutions.
• Involved in designing, reviewing and architecting solutions that address the identified needs.
• Provides functional/technical guidance to the development teams, ensuring that the solutions align with industry best practices and standards.
• Performs, Leads in troubleshooting, analyses of defects and their root causes, defect resolutions and identifying preventive actions in the future for any issues that may arise.
• Effective communication, written and verbal, and collaboration are essential to ensure that the proposed solutions meet both technical and business requirements.
• Contributes to continuous improvements by staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
• Stays up to date on developments in the industry, technology and evolution of systems in the digital landscape.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills in order to present thoughts and influence effectively.

• Be proficient in integration technologies, such as APIs, middleware, and messaging systems, ensuring seamless communication between different components.
• Apply security principles and best practices in solution design, including encryption, authentication, and authorization.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling effective problem resolution and solution optimization.
• Ensuring solutions adhere to regulatory compliance and governance standards, including the implementation of security controls.
• Optimizing system performance and efficiency through testing, identification of bottlenecks, and implementation of improvements.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the team.

• Ensure and review systems compliance towards legislations, policies or other requirements in order to stay compliant.

• Develop solutions to measure and analyse performance of business process and identify automation opportunities where feasible to drive efficiencies in the business processes .

• In alignment with Sr SME, work with enterprise architects, solution architects, business stakeholders in adopting new technologies and maximizing the benefits of Ingka investment.
• Create alignment on solutions between various organizations of Ingka.
• Ensure the voice of business is heard in the digital management and vice versa and value is to delivered to the stakeholder.
