As a Waiter/Waitress, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience at a renowned Japanese restaurant. Your responsibilities will include taking orders, serving guests, processing payments, and maintaining a clean dining area. This role offers stable working hours, starting between 16:00 and 17:00 and ending around 23:00 or midnight. You'll work closely with a multicultural team in an authentic, traditional setting, where servers in kimonos present exquisite, luxury Japanese cuisine.
Strong communication skills, confidence, and professionalism are essential. Above all, we value a genuine passion for people and outstanding service, as these qualities are at the heart of this role. A deep appreciation for Japanese cuisine is crucial, and you will also receive a share of the tips.
You'll be expected to adhere to the strict hygiene standards typical of a Michelin-starred environment. Serving in this context is unique: with a few tables assigned, you'll provide highly attentive service, including detailed dish explanations and careful attention to guests' needs throughout the meal.
An understanding of Japanese customs and the Kaiseki style of cuisine is required. If you do not already possess this knowledge, a strong willingness to learn is essential.

- Minimum mbo level or equivalent ability in hospitality;
- You have similar work experience (1-2 years) in luxury hotels and/or restaurants - preferably in a Japanese setting;
- You have sufficient knowledge of Japanese dishes and menu's;
- You are fluent in English orally, preferably also in writing;
- The ability to speak Japanese and Dutch is an advantage;
- You are used to following guidelines with regards to safety, Arbo, hygiene and HACCP;
- Knowledge of the Japanese culture, customs and kaiseki kitchen is mandatory for this position;
- You have eye for detail.
