We are actively looking for a motivated Account Manager to join our team, with a specific focus on acquiring and serving customers in East and Southern Africa. As an Account Manager, your primary responsibility will be to establish and nurture relationships with customers and prospects within these regions.
In this role, you will drive the sales of our products, achieving personal sales targets and expanding our customer base. You will develop and execute a comprehensive customer contact plan tailored to effectively communicate product launches and engage customers in targeted sales campaigns. Furthermore, you will be the main point of contact for customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring prompt resolution and collaborating with internal teams when necessary to provide appropriate solutions.
Identifying and cultivating potential customers will be a critical aspect of your position. Drawing on your skills and expertise, you will gather information, referrals, and recommendations from existing customers and other relevant contacts. Additionally, you will actively participate in trade shows and conferences, leveraging these platforms to generate new leads and establish connections within the target markets. Your deep understanding of our products and their alignment with customer needs will enable you to effectively sell customer propositions and recommend the products or services that best meet their specific requirements.
Customer-centricity is fundamental to our approach. You will build strong external relationships with customers, fostering trust and becoming their go-to partner. Internally, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless coordination and alignment in meeting customer expectations. By contributing to effective partnership management, you will help drive our success in these markets.
In this role, you will report to and collaborate with the sales manager. There is an open and pleasant working atmosphere where we all work toward the same goal.

As a person you are someone who keeps their commitments and keeps stakeholders informed of the process and progress. You are a good team player but can also work very well independently.
You have at least two years' experience in the B to B industry. You have gained this experience preferably in a sales role, but this could also be from customer service or tech service.
What else do you bring:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent level;
- Demonstrable affinity for chemistry;
- Experience in silicones and/or personal & home care market or coatings and construction is nice to have;
- Proficiency in English, both written and oral is essential;
- Excellent communication skills and cross-collaboration spirit.
