Then we might have a fantastic opportunity for you. We are looking for an HR Advisor to support the Rotterdam , Haarlem and Antwerp offices of Hillebrand Gori, a company of DHL Global Forwarding with all their people processes. This covers our Dutch and Belgium offices, dealing with the day-to-day shipments of beer, wines and spirits. In these offices, Hillebrand employs approx.120 people in total. In this role you will be reporting to the Regional HR North Europe. You will also become part of the larger international Group HR community.
What will you do?
- You will support the employee journey from beginning to end, helping to drive our culture and engagement across the organization in the assigned offices
- You will support the recruitment activities for all functions (i.e. Operations, Sales, Finance and IT). Your sharp eye will help support team managers in the setup of the vacancy text, searching and selecting talented professionals and onboarding them
What do we expect from you?
- You are able to prioritize, multitask and work independently in a demanding environment, with a combination of operational and tactical challenges in a matrixed organization;
- You are meticulous, with a good business acumen and passion to operate in a fast- paced environment;
- You have a demonstrated ability to improve employee morale / engagement levels;
- You are savvy with numbers and HR-related IT solutions (Workday and ADP); you pick up things quickly;
- You bring along min. 5 years of relevant working experience;
- You will manage and optimize the employee journey from beginning to end, helping to drive our culture and engagement across the organization in the Haarlem office;
- You will support the recruitment activities for all functions (i.e. IT persons). Your sharp eye will help support team managers in the setup of the vacancy text, searching and selecting talented professionals and onboarding them;
- Based on your understanding of, and intimacy with, the business you offer value-added support to management and employees. You will support the recruitment, performance & talent management, and engagement processes. For these processes you are supported by Regional HR;
- You support the process of the Employee Opinion Survey and follow up;
- You ensure that we are compliant with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation as well as that our Risk Inventarisation and Evaluation is updated;
- You take care of our personnel guide and that it complies to Dutch laws and DHL policies;
- You arrange IND permits, 30% rulings, housing, insurances for our foreign employees as well as request for additional maternity/paternity leave and disability at the UWV;
- You are not shy to manage complex employee-relations issues, act as a first point-of-contact for illness and managing specific employee cases in a legal / compliant manner;
- Part of your role will also be to ensure all employee matters are recorded in our HR system (Currently Workday, but soon to be transferred to Chris), from which you can run reports to steer on the HR impact and our unique employee experience;
- You arrange birthday cards for employees and their relatives as well as gifts for birthdays, and work anniversaries and other niceness at occasions;
- You take care of the monthly HR reporting to Crest;
- You are the contact with our agency for personnel insurances and pension: you support information sessions with the employees as well as keeping the records up to date.
What do we expect from you?
- You possess the "HR sixth sense": your people antenna is always on and you are discrete and approachable by nature. You build relationships easily and people trust you;
- You have a solid track record as HR Advisor and experience working with core HR specialty areas (reward, recruitment, payroll and contract management, H&S, etc.);
- You bring a comprehensive understanding of country specific employment laws (NL & BE) in order to act in line with local legal requirements, able to guarantee regulatory compliance;
- You know what it takes to drive the business agenda further and are able to blend reactive and proactive solutions for people, with your dynamic and flexible personality;
- You have a demonstrated ability to improve employee morale / engagement levels;
- You are savvy with numbers and HR-related IT solutions (advantage would be Workday and Chris); you pick up things quickly.
