There is a big change agenda for the coming years in which Facilities plays an important role. This includes the future workplace and real estate allocation from Rabo@Anywhere, energy reduction and taking the Facilities organisation to the next level. You also take care of our innovative new real estate project: the development of the Matser area. As described, an environment that is subject to many changes and requires constant coordination with both internal and external stakeholders.
The core activities includes management of the real estate portfolio for own use, security, business continuity, logistics, event management, catering and cleaning and the related (strategic) purchasing and contract management activities (supplier management).
You have excellent leadership skills and are a concerned leader with impact. You lead a Management Team that is responsible for a wide range of services. Within Facilities your area of responsibility is approximately 250 employees and approx. 2,250 employees through outsourced activities. When it comes to the Employee Journey, you will work closely together with the colleagues from the tribes on the HR/IT side of the organization for realization of shared ambitions. With your team and experience you are responsible to create, execute and maintain the mission of Facilities.
Responsibilities
- Optimize the customer and employee experience in relation to facility services. Together with the HR Tribes, developing new workplace concepts and refining of Rabo@Anywhere to ensure the (future) attractiveness of the bank for its employees.
- Close collaboration and alignment with the client segments and regions with regards to client facing facilities (including real estate, soft services and security).
- Execution of the operation and process management within Facilities. And sustainably guarantee quality improvement in the primary processes.
- Stakeholder management is crucial to achieve an excellent alignment, a.o. Between HR and Operations at a strategic level Also with external stakeholders. Ensure an up-to-date, future-oriented and widely supported Master Plan for Housing
- Set up and manage the real estate domain in such a way that the real estate is maximally in line with the ambitions of the Rabobank organization.
- Create a culture of optimal housing with an explicit focus on the Cost Income Ratio, the balance sheet position of the bank and innovation. This concerns both control for the central housing as well as the housing in the Regions.
- Initiate the strategy for the positioning of Facilities and realize it across the board.
- Capable of and energized by delivering results.

- Realize implementation results and milestones within time, budget and quality.
- Deliver on ambitious cost and sustainability targets together with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Business owner of the Global Standard on Physical Security.
- Drive and initiate the further CO2 reduction within the bank and thereby making an important contribution to the bank's sustainability strategy and the 2030 climate goals.
- In relation to sustainability, the continuous improvement of the Energy Management System and thus certification of ISO 50001 standard, which only a small group of companies in the Netherlands meet.
- The Head of Facilities is a member of the Management Team Operations and therefore also bears responsibility for taking on and executing strategic projects on behalf of the entire MT Operations.

In addition, it's important that you recognise yourself in the checklist below:
Experience
- At least 10 years of demonstrable management experience at senior executive level in a complex stakeholder field.
- Demonstrable experience working in an operations environment, specifically related to facility management, including real estate management.
- Knowledge of legal framework and laws and regulations, more specifically also for real estate.
- At least 5-10 years of experience in designing, initiating and implementing (large) complex (change) processes at senior level.
- Master Degree level thinking
- Ability to lead in cultural change and respond to defined business strategy
- Strategy building and operational execution of it is your excellence
- Proven track record of building, coaching and leading effective teams, track record of managing managers
- Execution power, being able to perform under high pressure.
- Proven experience with political environments
