Software Installation Technician
Location: Zoetermeer, Netherlands
Time Type: Full-time – 40 hours a week
Job Overview:
The Software Installation Technician ( SIT) plays a crucial role in ensuring that our high-tech positioning products are not only assembled but also fully configured and tested for optimal performance.
This is a technical position, located in a logistics environment, requiring skills akin to those of an electronics technician or mechanic. The role involves handling finished goods, ensuring they are assembled into complete installations, performing firmware updates, and configuring software to meet customer specifications.
The ideal candidate is someone comfortable with electronics, software installations, and troubleshooting. They will be responsible for activating and fine-tuning product capabilities through advanced software and system configurations to ensure a seamless, ready-to-use product experience for our customers
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Software Installation & Technical Support (70%):
- Configure positioning products to meet customer expectations, including uploading firmware, installing software, setting up connections, calibrating items, and testing setups to ensure immediate usability.
- Perform tests and inspections on all related items before shipping to ensure flawless customer experience.
- Personal Development, Administration & Reporting (30%):
- Administrate and document activities for each installation kit.
- Create monthly reports on processed items, installation types, and software purchases.
- Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with the Associate Manager Logistics for implementation.
- Stay updated on product and process changes via the internal platforms and training from the Professional Services department.
- Helping when needed with logistic activity inside the warehouse ( picking, packaging and cycle counting )
About you!
You have the following Education and experience
Minimum Requirements:
- MBO + education level.
- Experience in value-added logistics and MS Office.
- Affinity with software and computers.
- VOG certificate required.
Skills & Attributes:
- Team player with a hands-on mentality.
- Strong organizational and workflow management skills.
- Analytical and accurate with good time management.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Ability to collaborate across departments.
Working Conditions:
- The role involves working in both warehouse and desk environments.
