We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible Engineer who knows how to handle tools. Preferably you have gained experience in hotel or corporate buildings.
This position is very dynamic in which you are mainly responsible for the maintenance of all our installations and machinery as well furniture and inventory of the rooms and public areas. You strive for the best experience for our guests and make sure that the appearance of the hotel and rooms is professional and maintained.
Technical issues or fixing issues from guests? No problem! You handle them with care and an active attitude. You reply on questions of guests and your fellow colleagues and you are able to give clear explanation about the usage of different equipment and the potential hazards.
Within the Engineering department you will work together with three colleagues (Engineer, Senior Engineer and a Chief Engineer). Your shifts are on weekdays and take place between the hours of 10.00 and 18.00. An average of 13 on-call duties - during evenings and weekends - are compensated for by an additional allowance within your salary package.
Key Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer:
Perform preventive maintenance throughout all areas of the hotel, including both front and back of house, interior and exterior;
Maintain the overall operational condition of the hotel; replace broken lamps, bedroom fixtures & fittings, plumbing, carry out general repairs and maintain high standards to decoration and paint work throughout the hotel.
Preparing for renovations or installations of new equipment
Responsible for the fire control panel and testing the Fire regulations together with the Security Team
Conduct periodic and preventive maintenance checks
Welcome and escort external service providers
Quality and stock control of tools and equipment
Solving defects, adjusting and doing test runs
Member of the hotel's Emergency Response Team
Qualities a Maintenance Engineer should pull from his tool belt:
• A proven track record in a similar role within a quality environment (1+ year)
• Clear thinker with excellent communication abilities in English
• Multi-skilled with an eye for detail
• Team player
• A Certificate as First Aid Responder is a plus
