You will help design, build, and enhance Rabobank's industry-leading models for all loan portfolios. These models are used directly in the loan sales process and regulatory reporting. You will also collaborate closely with teams to translate the architectural vision for the credit risk area into technical solutions in a cloud-based environment. We are looking for senior software engineers for the agile DevOps teams within the department of Credit Analytics. More specifically we are looking for someone who can work independently, who will lead by example and can mentor more junior engineers in and outside the team. You are part of the backbone of the team and a strong support for the solution architect.

You wil be

• helping us to design and build a strong, secure cloud environment in Azure. It's important for you to be familiar with cloud concepts and the development standards necessary to effectively utilize the cloud.
• responsible for designing and developing robust and maintainable systems that allow Rabobank to calculate its credit risk.
• solve problems presented by the cloud, like security, resilience, and scaling
• make sure that you are and remain abreast of the latest market and technological developments and incorporate these in the execution of your development work 
• focus on quality practices such as TDD and will guide people in applying this practice

Customer focus, agile knowledge, collaboration skills are clearly essential for the role of Software Engineer. In addition, it is important that you recognize everything in the checklist below: 

In Addition:

• You have completed your Bachelor or Master education
• You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience as Python Engineer
• You are an expert in Python, and you know how to use C#
• It is important that you have experience with:
  • Azure (release) pipelines
  • Azure cloud concepts like AKS, ADLS, ACR, ADF, Docker, ARM, azcli
  • Docker, YAML
  • Understand and apply basic coding principles like DRY, SOLID, inheritance and clean code
  • Git
  • SPECFLOW
  • TDD
  • Flexible and constructively critical attitude, strong analytic mind-set, result oriented,
  • Experience in agile environment, experience with DevOps, SCRUM and LEAN
  • Affinity and experience (nice to have) with model development
• You can explain features at beginner and advanced level and discuss them with your peers
• You can work with team members (not just developers!) in delivering a better product
• You steer on improving with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
• You are comfortable in discussing technical improvements with product owners and ensuring they end up in the sprints
• You have experience setting up test cases for features under development (TDD)

🚨 To be considered for this position, you must be located in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the EU and have the legal right to work in the Netherlands. We are unable to consider candidates requiring relocation from another country.

This is what we offer you

• a gross monthly salary between € 4.292,- and € 6.130,- (scale 9, 36 hours per week).
• 13th month and holiday pay: the holiday allowance and annual allowance will usually be paid out in 12 equal monthly instalments. Employees have the option once a year to opt for the holiday allowance to be paid out in May and the annual allowance in December.
• an Employee Benefit Budget (11% of your monthly salary). You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions, or even receiving a monthly cash pay-out.
• an annual personal development/training budget of € 1.400,-
• 100% reimbursement of commuting costs if you travel by public transport! Do you still prefer to travel by car or motorbike? Then choose a commuting allowance.
• a monthly € 40,- net work from home allowance, based on working from home 5 days per week.
• a monthly € 40,- net internet allowance.
• Attractive pension fund with a personal contribution of only 5.5%. Rabobank will contribute 21.5%.
