THE ROLE
As Corporate Recruiter at Damen Naval, you will be instrumental in attracting top talent for our world-class naval projects. In this strategic role, you will develop and implement long-term recruitment strategies, manage the entire recruitment process, and ensure a seamless candidate experience. You will collaborate closely with hiring managers and HR leaders to meet our growing workforce needs, with a focus on sourcing highly educated technical candidates from around the globe. Your expertise in employer branding, sourcing channels, and recruitment activities and processes will be key to driving our success. As Corporate Recruiter, you will drive the recruitment process and act as trusted partner for hiring managers and HR Managers in recruitment-related processes. Your success will be determined by your ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders and HR managers and effectively communicating our job opportunities, leading to successful and qualified hires.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
As Corporate Recruiter your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing high-volume recruitment: manage multiple international vacancies across diverse locations, supporting hiring managers and candidates within a complex technical organization.
- End-to-end recruitment management: oversee the full recruitment process from drafting job vacancies to selecting the final candidate, ensuring a swift and effective selection process.
- Developing and executing recruitment strategies: create and implement international recruitment strategies aligned with our business goals, ensuring a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Sourcing and selection: identify and engage with highly educated technical candidates through the most effective sourcing channels, ensuring alignment with job requirements and expectations.
- Compliance and system management: maintain and update the applicant tracking system, ensuring compliance with Dutch laws and regulations, and provide process insights to hr advisors and hiring managers.
- Supplier management: acquire and manage relationships with recruitment suppliers to support our hiring needs.
- Project participation: contribute to projects focused on recruitment, retention, sourcing, systems, and employer branding.
- Reporting: establish clear KPI’s and create reports to continuously improve the recruitment process and overall strategy.
- Representation and networking: represent Damen naval at career fairs, universities, regional career initiatives, and other recruitment events to attract top talent.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
To excel as Corporate Recruiter, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
- At least five years of experience in both agency and corporate recruitment, ideally within the shipbuilding or related industries, focusing on international technical candidates.
- Proven ability to manage and intervene in high-volume recruitment processes across multiple international locations in a complex organization.
- Demonstrated success in driving the full-cycle recruitment process end-to-end, leading to shorter lead times a higher candidate-to-hire ratio, better quality of hire and low cost per hire.
- Experience in developing and executing employer branding strategies and leveraging networks and sourcing channels.
- Solid understanding of international technical roles and the ability to assess candidates with specialized technical skills.
- Excellent command of both the Dutch and English language, both written and verbal.
- Key competencies: ethical conduct, eagerness, curiosity, adaptability, relationship-building, and high energy level.
- Excellent references antecedents because a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
- Permanent EU citizenship combined with an EU work visa are both required for our employees given the military nature of projects.
