Our business is expanding and we are committed to investing in our people. We are currently seeking 2 Mechanical Field Service Engineers.
Tasks
Installation and Commissioning:
- Install and commission propulsion systems on various vessels.
- Conduct system start-ups and ensure proper functionality according to specifications.
Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections of propulsion systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and execute repairs promptly.
- Replace or repair defective parts and components.
Customer Support:
- Provide on-site technical support and training to customers.
- Respond to service calls and emergency repairs, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs and concerns.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including reports on installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Document technical issues and solutions for future reference.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum degree of MBO-3 in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- +2 years of experience in mechanical field service, preferably in propulsion systems or a related industry.
- Proven track record of successful installations, maintenance, and repairs
Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software used in the industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Language:
- Fluency in English. Dutch and French are a plus but not a must.
Other Requirements:
- Enjoy travelling (up to 80% of the time) and working in various environments, including onboard ships and industrial sites.
- A valid driver's license.
