Sales Executive (Part-Time, 3 Days a Week)

What will you do?
Revenue:
- Seeking conference, corporate and group business ensuring full communication with the sales manager to convert into business.
- To conduct pro-active sales activities.
- To be fully aware of the physical product as well as additional sales opportunities to maximise revenue.
- To always understand the department's financial requirements.
People:
- Participate in hotel promotional activities.
- Ensure that you and all team members have a sound knowledge of the local area regarding history, places of interest and special events and where further information can be obtained.
Guest Experience:
- Provide guests with information (e.g. Loyalty programmes, area attractions, restaurants, facility information) to enhance guest experience.
- Interact with guests and build account profile.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and outside contacts to produce group and/or convention business, to include room sales, food and beverage sales and catering/banqueting services.
- Assist with conventions and/or business group activities at the hotel and coordinate with other hotel level departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the Sales Office and prospective clients.
Responsible Business:
- Taking responsibility for the reactive side to sales within the hotel
- Work alongside the operational hotel teams to ensure client expectations are communicated and ultimately met.
- Identify new sales opportunities and identify new customers and attract them to the business with all the tools provided.
- Ensures that current and prospective client databases are maintained that files are kept current and accessible and that timely sales reports are submitted to the Director of Sales.
- Regularly follow up with clients and maintain accurate and updated information.
- Respond to client calls and special requests, ensuring that specific information is captured such as final details, dates, times, and hotel room requirements.
- Communication to appropriate departments all pertinent information requirements and special needs for arriving VIP's, large groups, and other key guests.
- Monitor guest satisfaction on a regular basis, both pre-and post-event.
Who are we looking for?
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Dutch and English is mandatory
