W Hotels does not recruit, we cast Talent. W Amsterdam, located at Spuistraat 175 is casting a Welcome Ambassador. As a Welcome Ambassador you will be working together with the concierges to create fab experiences for the guests and you will be the first point of contact.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Welcoming and helping guests throughout their stay. Ensure you are following service standards and operating procedures from the beginning to the end of each interaction.
- Showing guests our Whatever/Whenever service while they are with us, and connect with them to be able to personalize that service, creating memorable experiences.
- Making sure everything sparkles, we all enjoy a clean environment
- You will be on rotating shifts. Weekends are busiest, as well as evening/nights, so expect to be on shift then.
- Ensuring you are well prepared for the shift ahead of you, as well as your colleagues after you. Mise en Place will be your life saver.
- You will be working in a fast paced environment, under pressure, with loud music. Gotta love it.
- We are ALL-IN, and have more teams that we cooperate with. We expect you to be flexible to work with other departments. You're not the only one on stage.
- Make sure you put the guests at the center of everything we do. Any task that is not mentioned in this list but that may create an unforgettable experience for our guests is on your to do list.
- Transport luggage of guests to rooms and controlling the luggage area
- Guide guests to their rooms and do an unforgettable rooming
- Being in the know: You are the expert when it comes to the hotel and the city, and you know all the ins and outs on our hotel facilities and possibilities in and around the hotel.
- Handling valet parking
- Deliver guest mail to their rooms
- On request, make bookings for guests in restaurants, flights, theater and all the places which are new and next.
- Organize transport for guests, such as train, taxi or bus
- You will be working different shifts (morning, evening, night and weekend shifts). Also during public holidays
- Communicating with your team and other departments is key. The Welcome Desk will be on speed dial.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company asses.
Requirements:
- Minimum of one-year experience in the same or similar role
- Fluency in English
- Dutch and any other language is appreciated
- Experience in the Luxury Segment is an advantage
- Work Permit for The Netherlands is required.
- Driver license B is a must
