🎯 What you’ll do
- Define clear negotiation strategies to ensure competitive conditions with our suppliers
- Run negotiations with many suppliers from start until signed contract
- Build and develop a deep understanding of your category through a combination of Picnic data, customer insights and supplier input
- Keep an eye open for commercial opportunities and use data-first approach to identify category innovations
- Create and execute a pragmatic plan to drive the category improvements
- Understand the end-to-end supply chain and identify opportunities to improve the range, product quality and profitability
- Work together with your category team to bring the best to our customers
⭐ About you
- BSc. Or MSc. Degree in Business Administration, (Business) Economics or equivalent
- 1-4 years of experience as a Buyer and/or Category Manager in a similar industry
- Lots of energy, persistence and drive to ensure successful end result of projects
- You know how to get the best best deals and are able to understand and assess what’s on “the nego table”
- Go getting mentality, hands-on and nothing is impossible mindset
- Excellent people knowledge and skills; you understand who you’re talking, their interests and how to build relationships
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in Dutch and English
