What will you do as a Consultant Risk Management & Energy Transition
As a Consultant Risk Management & Energy Transition, you will contribute to a safe energy transition. For example, you calculate the risks of hydrogen, the likelihood of an incident with a wind turbine or the risks of geothermal energy on the environment. You help our clients interpret these risks and think along with solutions to limit the risks. You work closely with colleagues from other (safety) disciplines to come up with the best solution.
Specifically, you will be involved in:
- Preparing quantitative risk analyses (QRAs) and/or environmental risk analyses (ERAs).
- Translating the results from these analyses into advice for our clients.
- Collaborating in projects on safety risks of energy transition and companies with large quantities of hazardous substances (Seveso).
- You will not only be involved in projects, but you will also be given room to develop as an expert or consultant. As an expert you will develop yourself by studying risk analyses, methods, and models. As a consultant you will develop yourself to help companies with all kinds of questions related to the risks of hazardous substances. Examples include:Advise on improvements to management processes for safety and risk management.
- Support major changes and important choices of companies involving hazardous materials.
- Help improve the safety performance of companies.
- Design a management strategy for the key measures taken by companies to manage the risks of hazardous substances.
Finally, throughout your career you will learn a variety of skills that will help you work on and eventually lead projects.

- You have knowledge in the field of environmental permits and up-to-date knowledge of current and future Dutch laws and regulations.
- You have experience with Seveso companies.
- Work experience in a similar role is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience with Safeti-NL, RMBII, Carola, Phast and Proteus (pre).
- Good communication and advisory skills in English.
