Job Description
As part of the Operations team you assure timely delivery of products to customers by monitoring and controlling inventory levels and planning and executing purchasing and internal and external production work orders.
Responsibilities include
PURCHASING
- Day to day purchasing and communication with suppliers.
- Interface with production, sales, purchasing and suppliers in order to schedule purchase orders of raw materials to meet production demand.
- Monitoring material supplies and manage stock levels.
- Keep SAP MRP, master data and forecast up to date.
- Together with corporate procurement and legal, be involved in selecting new suppliers, supplier agreements and SLA's.
- Initiate system and process improvements.
PRODUCTION PLANNING
- Planning of production work orders.
- By using SAP B1, plan and create purchase orders to create suitable production schedules.
- Estimating the amount of material, equipment, and labor required for production.
- Promptly addressing and resolving inventory and capacity related production issues to minimize delays in production.
- Coordinating production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability.
- Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
- Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
- In co-operation with the Production Coordinator:
- Developing production schedules.
- Scheduling work shifts.
- Organizing project paperwork.
Your skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management, or related field is preferred or equivalent work experience.
Work experience: Minimum 6 years experience working as a production planner/ purchaser.
Personal competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills.
Socials competencies: Easy communicator and positive thinker, people manager
Leadership competencies: Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Professional competencies: Excellent contracting and negotiating skills. Experience in process improvements.
Languages: Dutch & English.
IT skills: Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications. Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software, preferable in SAP.
