What you do as Global Health & Safety Lead
You play a crucial role in advancing our worldwide H&S culture by driving strategic initiatives and fostering a healthy, safe and compliant work environment. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead global transformative initiatives and foster cultural shifts to reach the desired H&S culture. As global Health & Safety Lead you also:
- Further develop and lead the growth and execution of our global H&S program, ensuring alignment with our company goals.
- Provide guidance and leadership to H&S professionals across the globe.
- Oversee H&S governance, ensuring proper policies and processes are in place and are managed for among others emergency preparedness, incident management and business travel.
- Take charge of evaluating and reporting on H&S metrics, using data-driven insights to steer continuous improvements.
- Review and refine H&S operational processes and procedures, incorporating feedback from users and clients.
- Work on the ongoing enhancement of our Integrated Quality Management System, maintain adherence to ISO45001 standards.
- Establish and maintain mechanisms to ensure H&S compliancy in our projects and services.
- Manage external H&S service providers.
- Coordinate corporate crisis and incident management teams and overseeing office emergency response organizations in different countries.
- Collaborate closely with your colleagues within the Operational Excellence team to achieve shared objectives on H&S.

As Global Health & Safety Lead, you become part of the global Operational Excellence & Risk Management team. Our team plays a leading role in helping our organization achieve its operational and strategic goals through process enhancements, directing key improvement initiatives and ensuring regulatory compliance. You collaborate closely with 15 professionals in QHSE, project management and risk management roles. We are mainly based in the Netherlands and the UK, but we also have colleagues in Southeast Asia. You report directly to the Corporate Director Operational Excellence and Risk Management.
What you bring
A global perspective and a passion for health and safety. We are looking for a candidate who is experienced in managing H&S culture and behaviour programmes in an international setting. Our ideal candidate has:
- A master's degree in a relevant field and over 10 years of experience working in H&S, preferably in an international engineering environment or related field. You also have a relevant post master education in the field of H&S (such as MoSHE).
- Passion for H&S, and a good understanding of how to link processes and behaviour to corporate strategy, as well as dealing with complex stakeholder management.
- A good understanding of the latest insights in H&S.
- Strong knowledge of ISO45001 and related standards and has experience in working with and improving integrated management systems.
- The capability to build robust programmes and see through their implementation, building on strong programme and change management experience having led programmes before.
You are familiar with MS Office Tools and PowerBI and can speak and write English fluently.
