Your key responsibilities
In your position, you will report to the Head of Business Banking NL and will work together with other members of the Business Banking NL MT to execute the Business Banking NL Strategy. Your focus will be maintaining and building upon the existing expertise in both real estate as a sector and real estate finance as a product. Moreover, there is an aim to further align the REF organization within the market-leading Business Banking unit, creating benefits across various segments and the delivery organization.
- Delivering a safe and secure product proposition which is compliant with relevant internal guidelines and policies and external rules and legislation.
- Executing the Business Banking Netherlands Strategy in collaboration with other Business Banking Netherlands Management Team Members.
- Enhancing the transformation of Real Estate Finance from a 'stand-alone entity' to a part of Business Banking NL, ensuring financial targets and ambitions are met as set in the development plan.
- Building a future-proof Real Estate Finance organization in Business Banking NL with improved alignment across segments and with relevant delivery and operational organizations.
- Demonstrating visibility and proactive stakeholder management in Business Banking Netherlands, as well as maintaining an external network (being a face in the market).
- Building the next phase of the REF proposition for customers.
- Driving the digital transformation in the REF Operations and Delivery activities.
- Acting as a figurehead for Real Estate Finance clients in Netherlands and empowering regional relationship managers.
- Being involved in key networks and client relationships to support commercial teams in achieving their ambitions.
- Hierarchical responsibility for the Real Estate Finance Nxt client group composed of Private Banking and SME clients (small ticketing).
- Functional responsibility for the sales Real Estate Finance part of the regional sales teams.
- Facilitating the sales organization by ensuring Business Banking NL presents a unified face to the customer for all customer requests.
- Involvement on deal basis and interacting with Credit risk on Real Estate industry content.
- Delivering a differentiated customer experience to build client satisfaction and engagement.
- Realizing customer-related ambitions across products and segments for Easy, Guided and Relationship categories.
- Ensuring product profitability and sustainable growth, achieving financial targets outlined in the Dynamic Plan, and staying within the budgeted "own costs."
- Aligning workforce planning and career-pathing for people in Real Estate Finance together with Business Banking MT.
- Implementing omnichannel advice for the Real Estate Finance product to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Delivering on the four pillars of our customer promise: Easy fast and predictable, Digital and personal, Effortless handling and Proactive and relevant, together with the tribes.

- 10+ years' experience in a commercial role in the financial services/real estate finance industry. Broad experience in sales and both in- and external stakeholder management.
- Proven track record in directing and implementing strategic and cultural transformations. Expertise in strategizing commercial plans and executing significant changes.
- Compelling leader with a good understanding of the pertinent needs and developments within Real Estate Finance and Business Banking. An understanding of Real Estate Finance products, alongside a proven track record in the real estate sector.
- Up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations in advising business clients.
- A competent conversation partner for a variety of internal and external stakeholders within the Real Estate Finance sector.
- Focus on output, drive collaboration and possess a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Motivate individuals, fostering growth and achievement.
- Embody and promote a strong professional code of conduct and be adept at both giving and receiving feedback.
- Inspire clients, colleagues, and the corporation as a whole towards success.
This position requires a leader with a considerable depth of expertise, ready to guide the business to success within the Real Estate Finance sector.
