Within the Maritime team at Royal HaskoningDHV, we provide design and consultancy services to the marina and waterfront business. Core services include marina master planning, concept design, feasibility studies as well as marina operations consultancy and superyacht consultancy.
Our projects are spread around the world, from Australia to the Netherlands, from Middle East to Africa. Diverse environments, yachting ecosystems, and clients make our business very interesting.
To be able to provide the services we do, we need to understand the existing marina business inside-out. To better structure this, we opened a vacancy about setting benchmarks of exemplary marina infrastructure and operations from all over the world.
What you do as a marina database development intern
The objective of the assignment is to be part of the NL Marinas & Waterfronts team and to collect information on international benchmark marinas. You will create a database with information that can be applied in our consultancy services.
It is very likely that the opportunity to apply the database arises during your internship. In that case, we would like to challenge you to apply the information and be an integral member of the project team!

You will become part of the Advisory Group Resilience & Maritime the Netherlands. This team consists of around 230 colleagues and is based in the Netherlands across three offices (Rotterdam, Amersfoort, and Nijmegen). As a team, we excel in a wide variety of services and skills in the fields of climate resilience and maritime developments.
We provide our clients, both private and (semi)governmental, with a range of services throughout the various phases of a project: from inception, through master planning, feasibility, design all the way to construction supervision. We have a strong foothold in the Netherlands, but we operate worldwide.
What you bring
The Marina Database Internship will be suitable to you if you have the following:
- You are currently a student in Civil Engineering or similar
- You are fluent in English
- You are available full-time
- You have an interest in marinas and/or yachting
- You have a pro-active and autonomous attitude towards the assignment
- You are eager to partake in our marina and waterfronts projects
