What will you do as a Design Manager (MCF/ Data Centres)
If you are a Design Manager (MCF/ Data Centres) with advanced knowledge and skills in building design, you will find a challenging and rewarding career at Royal HaskoningDHV. You will work with some of the most demanding customers in the world and collaborate with our global colleagues. You will also use 3D design tools to deliver detailed and high-quality solutions for our MCF projects. Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage scope-of-work, design budget and contract documents for each project;
- Follow and update design delivery schedule and distribute workload within team;
- Coordinate and optimize design with multi-disciplinary team and external parties;
- Lead and challenge design solutions and changes;
- Create and communicate innovative ideas and designs to client and team.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team where your work will be cross borders, native and home based. In addition to participating in projects, you naturally also contribute to the optimization of our internal business processes and to safeguarding and sharing knowledge within your field.

As our new Design Manager (MCF/ Data Centres) you will become part of our Global Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team.
Our global MCF team provides multidisciplinary consultancy services to datacenter clients, including colocation datacentres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. The team is diverse, with expertise in areas like electrical and mechanical engineering, construction, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology. Together, this knowledge is used to develop integrated designs for Data Centres. You will be part of a dedicated, passionate team that is globally recognized as one of the best in Data Centre design and engineering. Curious about our work? What you bring
You are an entrepreneurial, result oriented, proactive individual with a positive flexible and problem-solving attitude. Besides that, you have:
- Holds a Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
- Has over 5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary design, engineering, and construction projects, preferably in data centres or other relevant sectors;
- Shows an affinity with digital and automated design and engineering processes (BIM360, CDE);
- Possesses good knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction industry, and a good understanding of the daily (operational) business of clients;
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills towards colleagues and clients, and is fluent in English (and preferably Dutch and/ or German.
You will be based in Nijmegen, being part of, and contributing to, our Nijmegen office. As our clients are based in various locations nationally and internationally, flexibility towards traveling is expected.
