The Strategy& Deals team is part of PwC's global Deals practice and we support companies, investors and governments in their assessment of key strategic issues. We often collaborate with our Transaction Services, Delivering Deal Value, Business Restructuring, Corporate Finance and other PwC colleagues to bring in the sector expertise, holistic insights and broader deal support to our clients.

We are looking for an Industry generalist, or someone with experience within Industrial Products and Business Services, including Construction, Manufacturing, Logistics, Automotive, Energy and Utilities etc.
Responsibilities
You will work with a wide variety of large and mid-tier private equity clients, as well as corporate clients undertaking Merger & Acquisition investment opportunities. Your work will be a mix of transaction-related (commercial due diligence, pre and post-deal value creation) and strategy development (market entry, growth strategy & planning). You will report directly to our senior leadership team and be an integral member of our practise.
You will work on client projects in teams of varying sizes, often with other PwC competences and advisors, as well as International & local projects. As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Typical duties include:
- Leading a team of consultants and taking responsibility for project delivery
- Running projects on a day-to-day basis, managing the work streams and supervising delivery
- Coordinating with key project stakeholders with a strong client-facing role
- Planning initial hypotheses and analysis; formulating initial hypotheses based on previous experience, knowledge of the sector and understanding of the scope of work
- Developing conclusions and supporting other senior team members in formulating & presenting insights based on factual and independent research and data analytics
- Contributing to the wider business through business development, knowledge sharing, coaching and mentoring junior team members and other activities
- Playing an important role in the further development of the team & the Deals business
Requirements
We are looking for talented professionals that have a strong personal drive to take the next step in their career. Your key characteristics:
- You are a professional with direct comparable experience as a Project Manager, at a leading strategy house, Tier-1 or Tier-2. With proven track-record delivering strategy and commercial due diligence assignments for private equity or corporate clients, with the ability to act independently
- We are also considering a broader professional skillset. You may have built tangential professional experience, 5-8 years in a broader consulting environment, professional or financial services (banking, big-4, management consulting, restructuring etc,) or Corporate experience within Strategy and M&A departments, where Strategic thinking was key and Commercial awareness has been developed
- You have strong technical skills, quantitative and qualitative reasoning:
- Market modelling and competitor analysis (market sizing & forecasting, excel modelling, multi-source data triangulation, market driver assessment, competitive intensity, assessment of differentiation etc.)
- Customer analysis (develop and analyse customer surveys, customer archetyping, segmentation & analysis, customer journeys, KPCs etc.)
- Internal analysis (capability assessment, business model review, financial assessment)
- Business plan development and scenario modelling testing
- You have a university degree in business administration, science, engineering or related discipline. An MBA is not required, but is considered an asset
- You are analytical, commercially minded and you have good communication- and social skills
- You are a team player and have started to develop your leadership skills in your current role
- You have a good command of English (both spoken and written). Fluency in another (European) language is considered a plus
- It is not required, but would be deemed preferable if you have some knowledge and strategic experience within Industrial Products & Business Services etc. With an interest to further develop your sector expertise
