In this role as a GL Accountant, you will be part of the Finance Team. You are responsible for the day-to-day financial operations within Collins Foods. Leveraging your financial expertise, you will oversee and enhance the financial administration. Managing the finances of 16 restaurants in Germany, each with its own P&L, makes this role both interesting and challenging. You will work in close collaboration with a team of 5 colleagues in the Europe Finance team.
Your tasks include:
- Conducting and checking the general ledger administrations.
- Preparation of the weekly sales journals, payroll processing, conducting Balance Sheet reconciliations and the management and processing of the transactions in the restaurants.
- Daily processing and coding of bank statements.
- Drawing up various (ad hoc) reports.
- Processing of intercompany transactions and associated journals and reconciliations.
- Maintaining contacts with restaurant management and external suppliers where you solve any problems together.
- Periodic compilation of internal control documentation and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Support of the controller during the periodic closing.
- Various other activities to support the financial accounting process.

- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent
- You have at least 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within food, retail or FMCG.
- You have good financial and accounting knowledge of German GAAP.
- You have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and ERP accounting programs.
- Proficient in both Dutch and English. German would be beneficial.
